Achieving a truly regenerative and sustainable textile and fashion industry will require a massive shift in how we work with plants, animals and their fibers. To do it well, we must listen to farmers, researchers and expert wisdom to best match fiber crop genetics with people and place. We think the integration of natural fibers like hemp into today's textile systems make for a fertile soil of creativity and community rebuilding through U.S. grown and sewn products. In Part IV of our How To Make It In America series, we dive into growing hemp for fiber and the significance of geographic connectedness.
With Earth Day on the horizon amid the worldwide 'Great Pause', we want to update our readers on our brand's soul-searching and R&D over the past twenty months as we set out to discover what sustainable fashion looks like beyond the "greenwashing" and slick ad campaigns. Experts and experience led us to a fundamental question: How do we make premium products that educate consumers, regenerate soils, minimize carbon consumption, care for workers and restore biodiversity in the natural landscape? We can do better.

DopeKicks are made in Portugal under EU fair trade standards using imported hemp materials.
