Hemp on High: 2015 NOCO Hemp Expo

For most, a pitstop in Loveland usually means grabbing a beer from one of the many standout craft breweries dotting the town. Although there was some delicious local hemp ale at the event, last Saturday had visitors envisioning not frothy fountains of gold, but vast fields of green – hemp of course.

The 2nd annual NOCO Hemp Expo saw well over a thousand heads come through its doors to hear speakers, farmers, advocacy groups and businesses share their experiences with the hemp plant. States like Kentucky and Colorado have taken the lead on the commercial hemp farming in America, and it’s events like these that keep the forces of change and industry moving forward: from seed sowers all the way up to the retail shop.
