Oreo Jones' New Video for "Barcelona"

He hasn’t been standing still. Jones carries more of that new sound in the Midwest rap scene, a curious blend of psychedelia and indie influences that often defy comparison. There's no better example than his latest video for “Barcelona,” one of the title tracks from Cash 4 Gold. The low-fi, chopped-up beach scenes melt into your eyes behind some seriously wavy vibes and a killer reverb-heavy hook feat. Miss Mess.

The most telling bars drop halfway in: “Everything I do is conducive, We workin’ to prove it, We flow in the current, We ridin’ the movement.” The entire album is full of fresh air and succeeds as an original approach to a genre often lacking in exploration.
