Go Go Gonzo Flow Drops New Video

The makeup of the band is somewhat of an improv carousel of musicians he's met while traveling the country as a bandmate and filmmaker for No Collar Films. In a recent interview he explained, "The musicians behind any Go Go Gonzo tracks is a trail mix of the rockers rolling around with me at the time I was recording. The last EP I released featured recordings done in 4 different states, 2 different basements, a garage and a bus. Most of the time my friends have no clue they're going to be recording music for a track I'm producing before it happens - I'll just show up with my laptop and recording gear..."

Everything Hunter touches is full of a particular brand of pure energy, be it as a performer, model, musician or director. His renaissance perspective is grassroots creative life at its most spontaneous. The sheer joy and ecstasy that comes with inspiration shines through when you hear him talk about whatever might be moving him any given day.

In the case of "Whippersnapper," you are taken on an iconic ride around Los Angeles with Hunter's more wild Gonzo persona taking on the role of tour guide. "The concept for the video was simple," he tells me in an email. "I wanted Craig [the director] to follow me for an entire day while I worked at the flower shop ... and capture the daily grind of a random gig and the essence of the concrete circuitry you feel driving through LA urban sprawl. We're renegade filmmakers and most of what you see in the video can be credited just having the gumption to get up and go do it – no permits, no permission, no plan."

Eventually the concrete jungle will crack and die, and at the crescendo of the song, the Gonzo instincts take over in an final act of full-scale pleasurable destruction: "I had a blast going ape-shit on all that gear – I've always wanted to go full rock n' roll on a set and break everything," he says sporting a cathartic smile. Win one for the hard-rocking working man.
