Part 1: How To Make It In America – Learning Dye, Cut & Sew in Los Angeles

The photos tell the real story, but prior to our in-house production, we worked with some of the best hands around and challenge one another to create better, supremely comfortable clothes.

The process goes a little something like this in 2017: The hemp fabrics touch down in LA, then we wash and add color at a dye house near our base downtown, after which the rolls are hauled up the block to be cut and sewn into the finest shirts we know. The printing, finishing and shipping is all ours.

At large, thanks to the loyal bunch that supported us on Kickstarter – we’re doing our damnedest to design and release high quality, high integrity apparel. It’s customers who care that make it all possible. Without this grassroots funding, who knows where this project would be.
