Brazilian Artist Paints Using Cannabis Smoke

Taking this idea to new heights is Brazilian artist Fernando de la Rocque, who literally paints with his cannabis smoke. He steadily exhales onto a stencil to form an image on paper, which creates natural-toned images of controversial political and cultural figures. Not only is the method unique and hip to global cannabis trends, it’s also a very strong artistic statement.

“More important than freedom to smoke marijuana is the freedom to think about it and make art with it. Polemic issues divide opinions, forcing people to think and debate,” he says. To keep the debate alive, de la Rocque’s figures run the cultural gamut, like California's ex-Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger or the philosopher Aleister Crowley.
